Eno River State Park
My roommates, a co-worker friend, and I went on a great hike through Eno River State Park this past weekend. With the baretrees and open forest we were able to see some beautiful birds. The trees and weather in North Carolina are so different from Washington. The cold is brisk but heavier. The trails around Eno are smooth and spacious, a great place to run. My new co-worker Jessamyn took photos on our walk. Click her name to see more.
This is my fabulous roommate Mary from Pennsylvania. She loves athletics and is a great long distance runner. She took me on an 8 mile run yesterday. Ahhh. She is also reading Harry Potter straight through for the first time. I couldn't be more proud. Mary is also fantastic at pillow talk.
An Eastern Heron- brighter and smaller then the ocean fishers on the west coast.
Isn't this seedpod spectacular? I can't figure out what type of vine this is.
On the left is my other wonderful roommate Susan. She is studying at Duke's school of Public Policy, did Peace Corps for two years in Kazakhstan, and writes for Christianity Today.
